Vinod Tawde



Vinod Tawde is leader of opposition leader in the Maharashtra Legislative Council and a member of Bharatiya Janata Party.

He was born in Girgaon area of Mumbai and studied B. E. in Electronics. He was the General Secretary for Maharashtra unit of the party, President for Mumbai, All India National Executive Council Member and the in charge of Co-ordination Committee of Bharatiya Janata Party for the 12th and 13th Lok Sabha Election. He is a Member of the Legislative Council of Maharashtra for the second consecutive term.


Achievements in Elections:

Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP – Largest Student Movement in India) –National general secretary.

In-charge of the “ BJP Maha Adhiveshan”, which was attended by BJP activists in lakhs.

He played vital key role in getting the ‘Mumbai Urban Transport Project’ sanctioned.

Chairman of ‘Konkan Vikas Pratishthan’ an NGO that works towards the economic growth and betterment the people of the Konkan region of Maharashtra.

He is the President of ‘Maharana Pratap Shikshan Sanstha’ (MPSS).

In 1989- Member of the fact finding mission in Kashmir.

Tawde being the leader for the delegation of Young Indian Political Leaders sent to study Political system of USA and other europen countries.

1995-1999 & 2001 to till date: BJP Maharashtra State General Secretary

1999 – 2001: BJP Mumbai - President

Brihan Mumbai Corporation Election - Party was successfully leaded by him.

Member of Legislative Council, Maharashtra – two consecutive terms.
